I almost can’t take it anymore

Q: I was molested when I was 13-14 years old. The feeling always linger, but I’ve managed to think about something else and do other things, like buying a lot of weird stuff, which has put a dent on my economy. I almost can’t take it anymore now, and I think more and more about what happened. The other day I had a breakdown at work and had to go home. I tried to kill myself by driving off the road a couple of years ago. I’m very anxious, bad self-esteem, trust issues. I don’t know what to do. Help!!!

A: Hi.

Thank you for a good question. There’s a lot of people in your position who struggles throughout the country and are asking the same thing you do. I don’t know if you”ve been in contact with support centers or/and other places that offers help. This is one of the first things I will recommend you to do. At a support center you’re able to talk with people who have experiences the same as you. Together you can plan the future path. Here you can find a center in your area to seek help:

If you wish psychological help, it’s wise to speak with your family doctor. He/she can help you to get in contact with a psychologist. There’s a lot of good options to find there. Many of us have been in your situation, and it’s important to remember that things will get better. You’ve taken an important step by contacting us, telling us about your problems. I hope this is of help to you,

I wish you luck
